I’m a Cincinnati-based freelance writer with more than two decades of experience in the fields of writing and editing. Simply put, I’m a freelance writer because I love to write. I have covered all sorts of subjects, from luxury homes to pipeline maintenance. My sweet spot is healthcare, but I enjoy learning and writing about all kinds of topics.

In the healthcare field, I cover issues as common as diaper rash and as rare as HLH (an immune deficiency disorder). Sometimes it’s for a patient audience—what is this condition and how is it treated? Other times it’s for physicians—what quality improvements are underway to make the delivery of care better?

Above all, I love finding the right tone for the audience, whether it’s light and fun, straightforward and professional, or something in between. I enjoy finding the right spot for words like cutey-pie just as much as for words like dilatation.

Outside of the Office

When I’m not writing, I enjoy reading, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. I’m fortunate to have three places that are home to me: Indianapolis, where I was born and raised; the University of Dayton, where I graduated with a BA in English and Communication; and Cincinnati, where I live now with my husband and our three kids.
